Rumour has it this is about Jane Asher. Paul McCartney was dating her when he wrote this. Some say the line "love to hear you say that love is love" and some say "love is luck". I sang the first because to me that is what Paul says but it is hard to distinguish sometimes.
I didn't change gender simply because I didn't feel like it. I think it's perfect the way it is.
