Agent D

Had the idea for this song for many years; probably since late 80's. It's not based on anyone in particular. It seems to fit many people though.
I see you coming down the stairs
Looking like a millionaire
And it suits you so well
As you walk by in the room
Every head turns to you
Making your ego swell
Please don’t stand right next to me
I am nervous, I am weak
And I’m sure you can tell
Be still my heart
Don’t start again
Remember when he broke you then
He took it all and let it fall
Just hear my plea
It’s so deceiving
He’s not for real
You know he’s a fantasy
I notice a man stand and stare
Are you trying to ensnare
His attention towards you
What are your plans to do then
When you have him in your hands
Are you going to hurt him too
It is so sad he can’t see
Your hidden enmity
And the evil you do
His heart’s at stake
It’s all too late
He can’t escape the tramp you made
Oh what a shame
It looks the same
You did to me
Look at him falling
If he only knew
You’re only a fantasy
Body of a god with the face of an angel
How someone like that could be cruel
Soul of the devil and mind of a killer
You are so collected and cool
Be still my heart
Don’t fall again
Remember when he hurt you then
He fools around and lets you down
Why can’t you see
He’s only acting
Truth be revealed
He’s only a fantasy
